Most people have heard that lumber prices have skyrocketed. This year alone we have seen an increase of 275%. In March 2020, Western Washington was paying an average of $17/sheet for ½” CDX Plywood. Today, June, if you can find ½” CDX plywood (most places are sold out) you will likely pay around $85. That is an increase of over 475% since March 2020. Unfortunately that means contractors are forced to absorb that cost for jobs that they bid or sold earlier this year.
